Code of Conduct

Global Macedonians is an international network of professionals who are committed to supporting Macedonia's economic success, through sharing connections and learning from shared experiences. It is not a direct business development or selling network. We have a shared vision of helping Macedonia – its businesses, the startup ecosystem, professors, academia professionals, students, its civil society and NGOs.

Global Macedonians are passionate about helping businesses and individuals in Macedonia and about supporting Macedonia's economic success. Global Macedonians don't join the network for personal, professional or financial gain.

If you are willing to join and become Global Macedonian, you must be willing to share your expertise and give your time for free.

Businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, students, NGOs, volunteers from Macedonia join to access the knowledge, skills and connections that our Global Macedonians can offer. It shouldn't be about promoting your business to other members.

It is paramount to embody the values of acting honestly, responsibly, and with integrity in all endeavors. Integrity forms the bedrock of our interactions, guiding us to uphold the highest ethical standards in every aspect of our engagement. We recognize the profound impact of our actions on both the association and the broader community, and thus, we approach our responsibilities with a steadfast commitment to transparency and accountability.

By conducting ourselves with honesty and integrity, we not only uphold the principles of our association but also contribute to fostering trust, respect, and credibility within our network and beyond.

We firmly believe in the inherent worth and equality of every individual, and thus, we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where all members are valued and respected. Upholding fairness and equality, we endeavor to ensure that opportunities are accessible to all, irrespective of background or circumstance.

Moreover, we recognize the importance of dignity and respect in fostering meaningful connections and collaboration, and therefore, we commit ourselves to interacting with compassion, empathy, and understanding in all our engagements. By embracing these values, we cultivate a culture of mutual respect and appreciation, enriching our association and strengthening the bonds within our diverse community.

We understand that our Global Macedonians are busy people.

We don't expect our Global Macedonians to give up an unreasonable amount of time. You're free to manage which requests you accept, what types of initiatives you work with and how many requests you work on at a time.

If we notice that you've not answered and accepted any requests in a long time, we might get in touch to see how we can help you engage with other things and projects.

The entrepreneurs, businesses, students, NGOs, volunteers from Macedonia who are asking for support should remember that the Global Macedonians are giving up their time for free. You shouldn't ask an unreasonable amount from them.

The association Global Macedonians has to maintain the value of the network, therefore we may remove a Global Macedonian from our network if we notice any kind of unethical and unlawful behavior.

For example, we might remove you from the network if you don't follow our Code of Conduct, if your circumstances change and you're no longer suitable for the network, or if your membership fee is not paid on time or if your membership may cause damage to the Global Macedonians' reputation.

All members should ensure that they have read and comply with this Code of Conduct.
